Interim Events Manager (4-Month Contract, Potential to Become Permanent)

Salary: £36,000 - £47,000 (FTE)

A world-renowned business school is looking for an experienced Interim Events Manager to join their team. This role supports the alumni and external engagement department, delivering high-profile events that bring together business leaders, alumni, donors, and academics. You'll help run events ranging from networking dinners to large conferences, all aimed at connecting the school's community and supporting its wider goals. There is potential for this role to become permanent.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Plan and deliver a variety of events throughout the year, ensuring they run smoothly and meet their objectives.

  • Work closely with senior leaders, faculty, and external partners to deliver events to a high standard.

  • Oversee all stages of event management, from initial planning to final review, keeping everything on track and within budget.

  • Coordinate with suppliers, venues, and other stakeholders to ensure quality and value.

  • Help improve event processes and suggest new ideas to enhance experiences.

  • Support and guide the team to deliver excellent events.

What You Need:

  • Experience managing events, ideally in higher education or similar sectors.

  • Comfortable working with senior leadership and handling high-profile events.

  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple events at once.

  • Experience managing budgets and event logistics.

  • Creative mindset focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
