Our client is a forward-thinking organization dedicated to enhancing data integrity, refining processes, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting ledgers to optimise cash flows and margins. They are currently seeking a diligent and passionate individual to join their Margin Support team.

As a member of the P&H Margin Support team, you will play a crucial role in improving data accuracy and process efficiency. You will collaborate closely with colleagues to identify cash received, conduct root cause analysis for supplier deductions, and overlook reconciliations.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Allocate all cash/BACS payments for Contract Support to the business.
  • Keep systems and internal reporting up-to-date to achieve month-end reconciliation.
  • Manage the Month End timetable.
  • Perform postings and journals.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Work directly with internal colleagues and management to maximize cash flow.
  • Support investigation team members in supplier meetings with accurate reporting and data sets.
  • Manage supplier deductions and releases.
  • Handle large data sets within Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Assist in manual claim creation, administration, recovery, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships alongside other team members.
  • Identify and resolve internal and supplier queries promptly.
  • Perform ad-hoc administration duties as required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent); an accountancy qualification such as AAT is advantageous.
  • Confidence with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including basic report writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to a diverse range of individuals.
  • Methodical approach with keen attention to detail.
  • Well-organised with the ability to plan workload to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent numeracy skills and proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Understanding of financial reconciling.
