Our client, a reputable educational institution in Cambridge, is seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join their team, initially on a temporary basis.
In this role, you will be providing finance support to senior staff and school parents across 2 sites, both just West of Cambridge.
Duties will include;
- Using SAGE 200 software for ordering, banking, issuing and processing invoices, payments, and journal transfers
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
- Maintaining an efficient filing system for all financial documents and contracts.
- Processing and dispatching purchase orders, checking receipt of goods and services, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring distribution of goods upon receipt.
- Supporting with end-of-year audit procedures.
- Ensuring adequate arrangements for the safe collection, accounting, and banking of all monies in accordance with approved financial regulations.
- Attending regular finance meetings
The successful candidate will be available to start quickly, ideally have experience of working within an educational establishment and bring plenty of finance experience.
This is a TERM TIME only position and part time hours can also be considered. There is a possibility that the role could convert to a permanent position in future, for the right candidate.
Whilst initially temporary, the pay rate on offer is up to £13.00 per hour.
