A leading Peterborough-based organisation - who are often cited as one of the region's best employers - has got a rare opportunity for a qualified accountant (ideally audit trained) to join them in a non-traditional route into industry finance by becoming their Finance Assurance Manager. This role comes with huge potential to move into more senior roles across the business due to recent changes in the structure and offers 2 days per week in the office and 3 days per week working from home (long term as everyone is currently working from home!).

As someone who prides themselves on maintaining up to date financial regulatory knowledge, and yet in equal amounts possess the ability to liaise with various different stakeholders through excellent communication - both in finance and non-finance terms(!) - we expect that your skill set will lend itself perfectly to being responsible for:

• Devising and managing the delivery of a finance assurance plan
• Effectively allocating work (to two delegates) and conducting regular reviews
• Guiding the team to assess the results of testing and to draw sensible conclusions
• Making recommendation for improvements
• Building relationships with key leaders across the organisation, including to report findings to the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer and Executive Risk Committee
• Providing high level of quality finance knowledge to the wider team and business
