The ONE Group are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a small, yet well established and respected businesses situated in the Peterborough area. Boasting an equally well established team, full of long serving members of staff who are passionate about the organisation they work for. They are now looking to appoint an experienced and operationally aware finance leader to join them as their Financial Controller.

Working closely with the Directors of the organisation, this role will see you overseeing all things finance for the organisation and will also also give you visibility to commercial matters.

Despite their size, the role does come with a growth plan which will eventually see you progress to Director level in the coming years.

Day to day duties within the role will include:

• Overseeing all month end and transactional processes including preparing and reviewing management accounts, reconciliations and VAT returns.
• Overseeing all year end processes, liaising with external auditors.
• Identifying areas of potential process improvement.
• Budgeting and forecasting, including presenting to the board and assisting with strategic decision making.

So what does the ideal candidate look like? Qualifications aren't essential to the business, they are much more focused in bringing in someone with extensive experience in heading up finance functions. Along with a business acumen and the ability to add value when challenging board level stakeholders.

Due to the tight knit nature of the team, the role will be fully office based. Salary for the role is paying up to £55,000 per annum and will also include a performance related bonus.
