Head of Development - Spalding - £60,000-£65,000

Over 20 years ago, two colleagues that soon became friends had a dream to set up their own business. Fast forwarding 10 years, this dream came true and after seeing a gap in the market, an IT Solutions and Support Consultancy was born!

The past decade has seen exceptional growth, both in revenue and workforce (with 10 permanent hires over the past year!), and to continue with this, we are looking for a hands-on Head of Development.

This is a diverse role where every day will be different and bring a new challenge. You could be speaking to external stakeholders one minute, and then producing state of the art code the next, all whilst mentoring and leading a team of developers to ensure goals are met in a timely fashion.

With this being a brand-new position, it is expected that during the early days, it will mainly consist of hands-on coding with a small element of mentoring. However, that will transition quite quickly due to your leadership and guidance, and your day will be evenly split between stakeholder management, mentoring and coding.

Sitting in the Senior Management Team and working closely with the CTO, who is looking to take a backwards step, this role is expected to naturally progress into a General Manager position within the company, therefore allowing room for more leadership and full autonomy.

To be successful, you will need to possess:

  • Exceptional leadership skills with a proven background in mentoring developers at all levels
  • Effective communication skills
  • Development experience with C# .Net and frontend technologies including Angular JS
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL Server and Cloud

Not only will you be a born leader, but you will also be confident and credible with a nature that goes the extra mile. It is important that you are personable, and happy to help but also know when to be assertive and push boundaries.

This position is to be based in the office full-time and due to the office location, it is imperative you hold a driving licence and your own vehicle.
