Our client is a recognised brand in the local area and they currently have an urgent requirement for an experienced, post-qualified accountant to join their group finance function for a period of at least 3 months but potentially longer.

Reporting to the head of the department your role will be varied and you will be happy to hit the ground running, turning your hand to a variety of tasks including;

Producing month end accounts
Statutory accounts production
Bank reconciliations
Intercompany analysis
Treasury management
Consolidations
Audit preparation for year end
VAT returns
Ad hoc reporting

The successful candidate will have proven experience working in a similar role and will be comfortable working on a variety of tasks.

A strong understanding of financial processes and controls is essential as is a high level of Excel acuity and ideally exposure to ERP systems.

You will hit the ground running and will be given autonomy but there will be support and guidance.

Whilst interim, there will be scope to apply for the permanent role if appropriate.
