IT Network & Infrastructure Manager

Unique opportunity for an 3rd line engineer looking for their first role in management, no previous experience is required in this aspect and you will pick up line management responsibilities for a 1st/2nd line engineer.

Experienced IT Managers looking for a bigger challenge could also be a good fit and the position offers the chance to be the Head of IT within a few years with a development strategy and longer term exit plan in place for the existing head.

You will ensure the network and platforms are fit for purpose including network security integrity, documenting and implementing suitable IT policies and procedures

Role/Responsibilities

Suitable candidates should possess a strong understanding of:

1st - 3rd line support

Service Desk and full asset lifecycle management

Microsoft Operating Systems (server, desktop and cloud)

Domain Management

Office applications (e.g. MS Office / Adobe / Browsers)

Support for telephone system or similar VOIP systems.

Virtual Server environments (VMWare / Hyper-V )Exchange server, spam filters, web filtering solutions

Network design, build, maintenance and troubleshooting

Endpoint management and protection (e.g. patching / security / control / monitoring)

Network security management (firewalls / switches / Endpoint Protection suites)

Implementation and documentation of appropriate systems controls for the IT Network, including KPI reporting and remediation
