IT Support Technician - Peterborough

Type of employment: permanent

Salary: £30,000-£40,000

Location: Peterborough (full-time on site)

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm

Are you currently working as an IT support technician or Service Desk Analyst? Are you passionate about helping people and offering them support to resolve their IT issues. Would you like to work as part of a small internal IT department where the workload is hugely varied? If so, this may very well be the opportunity for you've been waiting to find. As you will have gathered by now we are currently recruiting for IT support technician to join one of our well-established Peterborough based clients.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience working in an IT support role
  • Strong knowledge of operating system software, applications and hardware components would be ideal
  • A good understanding of virtualisation tools, such as VMware or others would be advantageous
  • Familiarity with network protocols and troubleshooting
  • A good customer service skills both over the phone and face-to-face
  • A positive mindset and can-do attitude
  • A willingness and ability to learn and pick up new concepts and systems that you may not have dealt with before
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
