This Cambridge based start-up Therapeutics company is looking to take their finance function in-house, and need the assistance of an experienced Management Accountant to come on board to help build the finance function from scratch.

This therapeutics company have developed an innovative way to change and manipulate proteins within cells which has massive implications for the treatment of various diseases and cancers. Partnering with two major players in the pharmaceutical industry, the investment and security is there to take this business far into the future.
They are looking for a hands-on Management Accountant and if you also have exposure to project accounting or business partnering experience then that would be an advantage. Ideally you will have a background in the Pharmaceutical or Biotech industries, but this is not essential and someone who also has experience working for another technical start-up business would be of interest.
The ability to liaise and advise senior managers in both finance and the wider business is important, as well as being hands on with the transactional staff across the UK sites, and group reporting sites in Europe and the US. You won't be afraid to challenge existing processes to make improvements as the company develops.
An ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification is essential, but there is flexibility for hybrid working, fantastic brand-new offices and a highly competitive salary of up to £60,000 on offer for the right candidate. You'll play a key role in the development of the finance function so the opportunity for career progression is only limited to your own ambitions.
