We are very pleased to be working exclusively with The Chamber of Commerce for Cambridgeshire. Having attended many of their events myself I have a great insight into their business model and have been so surprised at the amount of support they are able offer their members. Let me tell you about the role..

This role in a nutshell is about getting companies to understand the benefits and value of joining The Chamber and becoming a member. You will be looking after the Cambridge area and will be out visiting clients to demonstrate the value you can add to their business, they offer help with legal, HR, export, Brexit, shipping costs and paperwork, networking, promoting your business, project support, Health & Safety and transformations to name a few. Small to medium sized businesses do not have a large team of experts sat on the payroll but being a member of the Chamber will give them assess to all of this included in one membership. You job is made easy, find out what is important to your client, any pain points and let them know the support and the solutions to their problem areas you can offer!

There is currently major investments being made into The Chamber membership programme which will support your role as it is focused around membership strategy, it's a good time to join. You will play an important part in the fulfilling of business development plans for the future, your opinion will count as you are part of a close knit team who work together.

Daily duties will include...

Planning for recruiting and retaining new and existing business

Building relationships

Selling membership across your area in Cambridge

Working as a team for continuous improvement and implementing new ideas to drive the business and memberships forward

Attending Chamber meetings such as breakfast and evening networking events

Engage with your members on a regular basis

Handle all incoming requests

Visiting clients and promoting the value and benefits included in membership

Ideally you will have…

A sales/customer service background

A desire to promote and become involved with a great team

Full driving license

Excellent communication skills in person and over the phone

Flexible approach to working hours to include networking and Chamber events
