Daily duties
- Winning business, new contracts, agreements and opportunities
- Contract delivery, being a vital part of the delivery chain that ensures promises made to customers are met, change management, problem solving and administration.
- Negotiations, supporting gaining acceptance and agreement issues and amendments.
- Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers and focusing on collaboration.
- Communicating with stakeholders of all levels.
- Reporting to management on progress
- Representing the commercial team in progress/reviews and customer meetings
- Day to day administration and maintenance of the commercial information systems.
What you will need to have
- Proven experience in the defence industry or similar compliant industry
- Experience of managing complex and high value contracts
- Experienced in a broad range of commercial issues and contact management and contact lifecycle.
- Understanding of liabilities and mitigating risk
- Awareness of import and export restrictions and licensing requirements
- Effective team behaviours working closely and influencing
- Good process and change management
- Ability to modify and draft terms and conditions
- Commercial understanding from customer through to supplier
