Acushnet are looking for a Production Engineer to join their team in St. Ives.

As the Production Engineer, you will work closely with their manufacturing, logistics and maintenance teams, developing, installing, procuring and maintaining equipment used in the manufacturing process.

The focus for this role is to manage the central co-ordination of various projects, ensuring that project requirements are delivered within their agreed quality, time and cost standards.

Other key responsibilities are:

  • Continuous improvement of existing processes whilst identifying new processes for new products in development.

  • Commissioning and testing of new equipment.

  • Using AutoCAD software to design shop floor and equipment layouts with technical drawings and tooling specifications to support manufacturing.

  • Contribute to operations meetings with Project updates, providing costings and timelines for work requests.

  • Co-coordinating with Contractors, Engineers, and Production teams to provide project updates, accurate costings, technical advice and timelines.

  • Liaising with engineers in the USA to keep appraised of global engineering standards.

To qualify for this role, you will need to have an engineering background (knowledge of electrical principles and pneumatics) and a recognised engineering qualification. This includes having knowledge of machining and fabrication and experience in project management within a manufacturing background.

AutoCad or drawing experience would be advantageous, along with experience with Microsoft Office and troubleshooting and monitoring processes and products.
