The Role:
- Provide direction and management to a growing team (currently approx. 20) of Postdoc Scientists, Engineers & Technicians
- Drive process development within the technology, such as cell fabrication, stack optimisation, trials & product development
- Co-ordinate R&D innovations
- Continue to expand and develop the team and technical facilities
Who are we looking for?
- A credible and experienced people manager with demonstrable management expertise spanning across at least two of the following areas:
- Electrochemical systems
- Materials science
- Chemical engineering
- Electrical engineering
- PhD Level, preferably also a Chartered Engineer
- At least 10 years' experience working within applied science or engineering R&D teams
- At least 5 of those years should be within in an R&D management role, either for an SME or the innovation division of a larger company
- Experience or understanding of developing electrical energy storage technologies is highly desirable
