Reporting Data Analyst - SQL, BI
Top opportunity for a Data Analyst to act as a key business partner and support the company in establishing a reporting framework. The business is prioritising its need to establish meaningful information to its functions and to support & enable improvement activity using an accurate framework.
Working for the IT team but partnering closely with other business functions, you will take responsibility for following a program of data & reporting developments. You will also support in guiding and advising on master data best practice.
You will need a keen eye for detail, be experienced as a data analyst and have a deep understanding of PowerBI and SQL databases.
Responsibilities
Supporting the business with master data, advising on gaps, risks & best practice.
Establishing & maintaining a model of data that delivers the business reports
Helping develop reports and analysis.
Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
Generating reports from single or multiple systems.
Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports.
Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems.
Training end-users on new reports and dashboards.
Providing technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
Gather, understand and document detailed business requirements
Prepare reports for internal and external audiences
Create data dashboards, graphs and visualisations
Mine and analyse large datasets, draw valid inferences and present them successfully to management
Experience
Work experience as a data analyst or in a related field.
Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
Ability to analyse existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.
Have a strong working knowledge of MS PowerBI, Tableau, SQL. Any other tool knowledge would be an advantage
High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases.
Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
Understanding of addressing and metadata standards.
