A good client of mine who operate in a unique space are looking to develop the Linux side of their SysAdmin team. They're looking for someone senior who can hit the ground running and get involved with a backlog of projects they're looking to bring to life.
This is a technical role and ideally needs someone who has experience in dealing with network security and general network & firewall technologies. There isn't a typical day here, there is so much to be done and you'll be given full autonomy to do both BAU and project work.
Things you'll get involved with:
- Contribute to technology roadmaps
- Contribute to IT enhancement project backlog
- Implement improvements to existing infrastructure & technologies
- Research and introduce new technologies to the business
- Provide BAU support for various solutions in the business, in accordance with impact/priority SLA timeframes
- Conduct root cause analysis for the more complex tickets
- Contribute to system documentation and knowledge sharing

What you'll need:
- Proven, commercial experience in a Linux SysAdmin position to a senior level
- Experience with Ubuntu ideally with the following
- NIS
- LDAP
- DNS
- Automation experience
- Puppet/Foreman
- Scripting skills with
- Bash/Python
- GeneralSysAdmin experience and knowledge
- Storage/backup
- Network
- Firewall management
- Security awareness - ISO27001 understanding
