Stores Person - 40 hour week - 1pm until 9pm - 12 month FTC - £30k

We are on the look out for an experienced Stores Person to work within a successful business environment for a globally recognised company based in Royston. The rapid growth of the organisation presents interesting challenges for all supply chain functions. It also presents many opportunities for individuals that wish to progress.

The Stores person role is responsible for ensuring timely, efficient, and accurate flow of material from supplier through kitting of work orders, final packaging, shipment preparation and shipment. This role would suit either an experienced logistics professional or someone who has recently completed a vocational logistics qualification.

Role responsibilities (not limited to):
- Check loads for damaged or missing items
- Receive goods at the loading / receiving dock
- Put away received goods promptly
- Undertake physical inventory counts
- Deliver materials across the site
- Process transactions accurately in ERP / WMS
- Move and rearrange stock, either by hand or with heavy lifting equipment

Essential skills needed:
- Previous experience working within a warehouse operation in a manufacturing environment
- Methodical way of thinking
- Proactive
- A team worker
- Internal customer focused

Desirable skills:
- SAP experience
- 5s experience
- Counter balance forklift licence
- Driving licence and willingness to drive a van
