Technical Manager

Seeking a skilled and proactive Technical Manager. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety across the site, managing technical operations, and driving continuous improvement in line with customer and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for retail technical managers, responding to queries and issues related to products and processes.
  • Manage customer KPIs, reporting metrics, and ensure adherence to deadlines.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Oversee HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP teams, ensuring compliance with customer codes of practice.
  • Lead technical audits, manage incidents, and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and ensure alignment with health and safety standards.
  • Direct and coach the technical team, developing clear succession plans.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in leading high-performing technical and QA teams within the food industry.
  • Strong experience with major retailers and a track record of technical systems implementation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, staying calm under pressure.
  • A leader with integrity, who promotes continuous improvement and high standards across all areas.
