The client involved are a multi-site supplier of products to a booming industry, with a brand-new depot and a well-managed operation. They've been consistently turning over record numbers for a while now and there's a very bright future on the horizon.

Working with a lean warehouse crew and a reasonable-sized team of drivers, you'll be tasked with being the glue that holds the operation together. Your boss will be away monitoring other sites quite a lot so it's important that you're able to run the operation on your own.

Your time will be spent supervising the warehouse teams and drivers, ensuring a smooth day-to-day running of the logistics. There will be a decent amount of transport planning involved too, along with ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy. Other than that, you'll be in charge of site H&S, stock taking, order management and staff motivation.

Your role will be Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm (I know…a transport role starting at 9am, crazy!) and you will have to pop in one Saturday per YEAR for a stock take. There is a significant development opportunity with this role, happy to discuss with potential candidates with the right skillset.

What will you need?

• 2/3 years' experience in a supervisory position within logistics/warehousing
• Traffic/transport/route planning experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational role
