Warehouse Manager
£30,000 - £35,000

If blank canvasses are your "thing", I've got a cracking opportunity for you!

A real opportunity for someone to implement new systems and processes for a manufacturing business which is anticipating huge growth over the next few years.

….Did I mention it's also a Monday to Friday "office hours" role?

Due to retirement of a long-standing employee, a Cambridge-based manufacturer is seeking a new Warehouse Manager. The current candidate has been a fantastic employee for many years but operates in quite an "old school" fashion; with no WMS, stock management systems or bar-coding - all the information simply locked away in their head! This has worked successfully for our client however they now want to modernise their operation and bring in proper systems.

We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty - you'll only have a team of one employee to assist you so there will be some manual work involved. Currently the logistics function is operated elsewhere in the business however there are plans for this to be integrated with the warehouse soon.

The successful candidate will ideally be ambitious, focussed and able to participate in improvement projects. Your role will involve; managing the warehouse function ensuring goods are despatched correctly, organising the layout and efficiency of the warehouse, KPI measurement, warehouse security, team management and H&S.

What will you need?

  • Experience leading a warehouse operation
  • Ambitious nature
  • Ability to implement new warehouse management systems
  • Management background
