As it stands, the 6th April 2020 is set to witness huge change for many working within the private sector as HMRC introduces changes to off-payroll working rules (IR35).
Are you ready for these changes and do you understand the impact on your business fully?
This reform hopes to combat tax avoidance in the form of 'disguised employment' to minimise business risk. If you engage contractors within a private sector business - now is the time to get ready and understand how to prepare with the most up to date information and understanding. HMRC have estimated the additional raised Income Tax and National Insurance Contributions in the first year of the Public Sector reform from April 2017, to be £550m. It has also predicted the value to be worth £1.3bn to the treasury by 2023, by extending the reform to the Private Sector.
The ONE Group is proud to be partnered with leading industry experts Howes Percival and MacIntyre Hudson to give you an insight into; What this all means? The impact on your business now and in the future? What you need to do to prepare for the change and make sure you are ‘reform ready’ in April 2020. In addition to this, we will discover;
Commercial consideration around the employment status assessment and how reliable is CEST?
Why choose one engagement model over another? And the implications of your choice.
Guidance for companies on the linking and engagement ‘chain’; whether inside or outside of IR35
Effective Role assessments Vs Individual Contractor Assessments
Trying to navigate your way around any legislative update can be a minefield for you and your business, especially as the finer details are yet to be confirmed. This breakfast seminar will talk through the facts, where we are with the reform and outline a sensible and practical approach to ensure your business objectives are in line with what is going to be expected. There will also be plenty of opportunities to ask questions specific to your business and come away with a better overall understanding of IR35 and what more you need to do.
