St Ives, Cambridgeshire

Can you take what is good...and make it great?

Our client is a hugely recognisable name within the FMCG world across the globe and they pride themselves on being the number 1 brand in their sector. Their products are premium, the marketing & customer service is premium and now it is time to align the logistics operation with the rest of the business.

Reporting into the Logistics Director, you will use your experience within logistics, distribution & supply chain to upgrade this operation and turn it into a well-oiled machine.

In this newly created management position, you will be responsible for the management of all distribution centre operations as the DC undergoes a huge transformation project. Roughly speaking, around 70% of your time will involve operational management, 20% will be comprised of strategic logistics management including managing the 3PL relationship, and the final 10% will focus on customs & excise.

The distribution centre currently ships orders within the UK, Europe & Asia. It stands at 70,000 square feet and has roughly 80 staff (including temps) working across a two-shift system Monday to Friday.

If you're up to challenge, please get in touch. I can't wait to tell you all about it!

What will you need?

  • Management experience within logistics, distribution & supply chain. Someone who is comfortable reporting into the highest levels of management. Good communication skills and ability to relay complex data into meaningful insights.

  • Project management experience, specifically covering process improvement, change management and continuous improvement. System implementation experience will also go a long way in aiding your success for this role. WMS & ERP. (In an ideal world - Manhattan and SAP)
