A combined authority in North Peterborough are looking for an interim Business Analyst for a period of 6 months to join them in their journey to enhance the business through data modelling and transformation programmes. This person will be actively accountable for making suitable plans, technology improvements and handling finance-related activities, to ensure the completion of projects with an assigned budget. This role will sit outside of IR35, paying a maximum of £300-£350 per day DOE.

Responsibilities:

  • To act as the key point of delivery for system change and related ad hoc tasks for the Company.
  • To deliver comprehensive outputs for all tasks undertaken and to ensure that accurate and up to data supporting data is available when required.
  • To support the development and implementation on a number of specific and transformation projects and service reviews.
  • To review and map existing processes
  • To identify efficiencies either through the use of technology or process redesign
  • Deliver service improvements and/or savings/income generation to agreed targets and reporting progress within agreed timescales.
  • Ensuring accurate reporting of outcomes are maintained for each transformation project and that appropriate records are kept
  • Ensure that agreed outcomes are achieved with maximum efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensuring effective communications strategies are in place for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide verbal or written briefings/reports/presentations to Board Members, SLT and Managers on issues as required
  • To undertake risk assessments in relation to the team's activities, identifying risks, potential impact and contingency plans; ensuring information is collated within the Company's risk management framework and appropriate action taken.

Experience needed:

ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with 3+ Years experience

Data Analysis, Process review and mapping experience

Delivering projects from inception to implementation

Modelling and Analysis

Interpretation, Analysis and organisation of complex information/data

Public sector experience is desired but not essential
