One thing we have relied on more than we usually would during the current pandemic is information, communication and direction from others. My clients Global internal and external Communications team comprises of specific functions and departments to ensure the right messages are relayed to the right people. This role will be leading the global Talent Acquisition function, playing a key role in supporting the business to recruit the best talent, helping achieve business goals and develop new medicines for patients. Talent Acquisition is responsible for attraction through to onboarding, working closely with business, stakeholders and Global HR. Building pipelines of talent against critical roles to deliver the right hire, at the right time, in the right place, and at the right cost. This function is truly global and spans across all operating countries and so it is critical there is strong communications to bring the global community together.
The role will be a 12 month contract, based Cambridge to drive communications across the Global community. Whilst there is a strong plan in place, there is a need to look for someone to propose and refresh the strategy / approach ensuring all audiences needs are met and in line with objectives. This role would refresh the strategy and bring ideas to the table as well as deliver strong execution, ensuring we continuously evolve the communications strategy and channels.

Responsibilities

  • Propose, design and implement enhancements to the comms strategy for TAq and own moving forwards
  • Leverage key channels available producing content to drive global understanding of topic
  • Produce a wide range of content (presentation slides, written email announcements/updates, internal social media comms, intranet articles, etc .) that resonate with target audiences and provides clear and compelling communications.
  • Comms support to VP Talent Acquisition
  • Own the comms plan/strategy, being the custodian for the channels ensuring overall global comms is timely and delivered at the right time
  • Produce any necessary videos, provide stakeholder guidance and tools
  • Produce communications for the TAq Leadership Team to distribute, driving key topics: pulse, regular project updates etc
  • Recommend and create key project-specific communications and content that aligns with overall communication strategy and key messages.
  • Support TAq teams to help develop collateral (e.g, Discussion Guides, Talking Points, FAQs,) as required
  • Managing several channels and workstreams simultaneously, prioritizing to deliver on all deadlines and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Preparing and executing regular Workplace social media updates.
  • Incorporating input from multiple sources including the broader HR comms network - aligning where needed
  • Providing additional communications and workstreams support as needed.
  • Continuously improving channels and messaging where appropriate to ensure maximum impact of communications
  • Building communications skills and capability across teams - upskilling where required
  • Building / maintaining core comms toolkits for Talent Acquisition Leaders to leverage in projects
  • Driving some external communications - TAq VP blogs, articles and support for conference presentations


The right person

  • Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent understanding of communications in a global complex and matrixed environment
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite including excellent PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with strong proofreading proficiency
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven track record of execution
  • Ability to synthesize ideas and transform them into compelling, clear communications
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Skilled in collaboration - gaining consensus across teams and establishing productive relationships
  • Video editing skills with basic tools
