Looking for a mechanical engineer to join their team, the company has significant growth plans over the coming months and years so it's a great time to join their team. They offer clear career progression as well as an impressive range of benefits including flexible working, life and medical insurance.

This organisation is a widely recognised manufacturer in their field, providing bespoke environmental solutions to their customers. They are looking for a mechanical engineer to be involved in the design and development function of their busy engineering department. These will be NPD tasks including analysis, design development, prototyping, and launching of new products. There is also a strong electronic bias to their business so a good understanding here would be a distinct advantage.

You are likely to be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline. Previous professional experience is desirable but candidates new to their career will be considered. Competent use of 3D design software packages (preferably with strong familiarisation in Solidworks/Creo) is required as is the ability to clearly illustrate/communicate technical ideas. Good written and verbal communication skills are therefore essential.

In addition any skills and/or knowledge of the following would be highly desirable

  • Experience of using FEA simulation packages to analyse product performance and enhance detailed design
  • A good understanding of electronics/electrical design
  • A familiarisation with relevant industry standards (IP ratings, ATEX, etc.)
  • Membership of a relevant Engineering Institution
  • Hands-on experience in the assembly of prototypes and subsequent testing

To be successful in this role you will be a proactive individual who works well on their own initiative and as part of a collaborative team. You will have good attention to detail and problem-solving skills along with the ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.

If this is you please get in touch with your CV and we can discuss the role in more detail.
