The One Group are partnering with a world-renowned engine manufacturer in Darlington who have an opportunity for a Plant Quality Manager to look over their quality function on a 12 month contract.
Leading a team of 30-35 people ranging from Engineers to Auditors you will be responsible for the execution of all new and current production quality space. Working within a corporate function you will lead improvement initiatives whether that be developing processes, people capabilities and quality tools acting as an internal champion on behalf of the clients customer.
The key responsibilities for the Plant Quality Manager include:
- Lead improvement work that improves capability process and define a roadmap for future improvements
- Assess capability processes by leading improvement works ensuring that processes are training
- Management of work team plans and objectives
- Maintain IATF1649 quality standards and liaise with internal & external suppliers
What we are looking for:
- Strong people manager who can manage conflict
- Trading Standards Accredited site experience
- Strong customer focus experienced at dealing with suppliers
The role would suit a Quality Manager who is experienced within an Automotive manufacturing environment who can manage teams effectively with a strong commercial acumen at dealing with suppliers.
The client is looking to pay up to £31 per hour PAYE and will fall inside IR35.
