Role: Battery Test Engineer (Operations Test Engineer)
Salary: £24.10 Per Hour (PAYE)
Location: On Site In Milton Keynes - Working From Home Possible
Duration: Initial 12 Month Contract - Potential To Extend / Become Permanent After Contract
Shifts:
Mon-Fri 8am-4pm (37.5 Hour Week)

Wanted: Battery Test Engineer to help develop, maintain and upgrades test equipment and architectures for application products. In this role you will analyze test results to provide recommendations and guidance in root cause of test failure events whilst ensuring all test procedures comply with safety standards and manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use of Vector & CanAnalyzer to communicate with battery pack & associated assembles
  • Create dashboards for the Operations team to easily interpret & read battery communication data
  • Create/develop in line and end of line battery verification process & procedures
  • Create/develop and verify test scripts for module/battery pack cycling using NHR's & AV900/lynx
  • Create/Develop leak test process/procedures for in line & end of line quality checks using Sciemetric/Furnace controls/Infacon
  • Software flashing of battery BMS and associated assemblies
  • Create a list of battery fault codes/failure modes through experimental work during the prototype phase.
  • Support battery teardown diagnosis post prototype testing.
  • Work cross functionally to define pass/fail criteria for in-line & end of line testing.
  • Collaborate with the production/manufacturing site team to hand over test procedures/specs from the prototype location.
  • Develop Operations technician team in core test competencies and use of test equipment.
  • Define hardware requirements for battery programs (including harnesses and test equipment)
