And, conveniently, we're assisting a world-leading manufacturer with their next hire of a newly qualified accountant to join them as a Commercial Finance Business Partner. This role has arisen due to an internal promotion which sets the scene for the kind of development opportunities available to you with this employer.

The role, which will involve a hybrid working arrangement of 2 days per week in the Peterborough-based offices, will offer a commercially minded accountant the opportunity to take a step into the business partnering - or "sexy" - side of accounting. Due to their interest and investment in personal and professional development, the organisation doesn't expect you to have previous experience in a business partnering role but would love to see extensive stakeholder management on your skills roster.

Your responsibilities will be predominantly centred around various types of analysis, including:

• Customer profitability
• Strategic initiatives, including future cost, should cost, and strategy
• Operating Profit After Capital Charge (OPACC) and Accountable Results Tool (ART) determination
• Impacts of standards, abnormals, component cost monitoring, global footprint and sourcing strategy

In addition to being a qualified accountant and having excellent analytical skills (you're likely to have previously used MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS PowerBI, MS PowerApps or Alteryx), you'll need to be an exceptional communicator who can communicate financial information to non-financial colleagues with ease.

The role is paying up to £45k with a bonus of up to 10%, in addition to an excellent contributory pension scheme and a company-wide retail discount initiative.
