The One Group are currently partnering exclusively to recruit a HR Business Partner (Field Based) with a mix of working from home and visiting field based employees this role is working for a global leading manufacturing business who are brand well known within their market and have developed a great culture for their 200 employees, you will be working within a team of 3 within a long standing HR team reporting into a experienced Head of HR who is personable, supportive and is keen to have someone that is keen to be apart of a on-going UK HR strategy, in alignment with the EMEA and Global company strategy focusing on growth, performance and people. As an employer they have a strong focus on communication and wellbeing with their employees and this is a role to elevate this across their UK based employees.

Within your role at a HR Business Partner you will be responsible but not limited to:

  • You will be the primary contact to the field-based service team, including field-based engineers and technicians ensuring HR, Health & Safety and wellbeing initiatives are delivered and dealing with any queries.
  • Being highly consultative in your approach to understand the needs of the business and to influence discussion and decisions around employee structure, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Support of the Regional Service Management team day to day recruitment activity, onboarding and talent management.
  • Leading and supporting with employee relation matters including investigations, disciplinaries and grievances.
  • Managing and supporting performance issues, absence management and general employee welfare with Technicians and Engineers.
  • The upskilling and coaching of managers, supervisors with HR related skills and best practice.
  • Coordination of key data and documentation for payroll processing.
  • Attending of service-related meetings to share information, gathering of feedback and providing training as required.
  • Improving and opening work relationships with management and employees to ensure engagement and staff retention.
  • Being an active member of the UK and EMEA HR team, ensuring delivery of continuous improvement.

In this role you will be apart of a strong structured HR team, who have a primary goal of developing employee engagement, retention and wellbeing you will have the autonomy to develop your presence in this business, with the support of a Head of HR & EMEA HR director. You will have an office base when required of either Northampton or Bolton.

The person for this role will ideally have:

This role is ideal for a natural communicator, who enjoys the ability to open HR to all employees you will be working alongside an employee base that are long standing, loyal and understand wellbeing is a key offering within this business. You will enjoy being hands on and working closely with the Head of HR with the ongoing HR strategy across the business.

  • Minimum of 4 year's experience operating at HR Business Partner level ideally within a field based setting.
  • It would be beneficial to have experience of working closely with Engineers and Technician's in a service setting.
  • Experience of managing ER cases, absence management and the employee lifecycle.
  • Personable and ability to work closely with stakeholders at all levels including field based employees.
  • Ability to travel throughout the UK when required, A full drivers license is required.
  • Ideally you will be fully or part CIPD qualified.

Benefits, Salary and Hours:

  • £50,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience.
  • Fully expensed company car including fuel card.
  • Hours of 9 - 5pm Monday - Friday.
  • 25 days holidays + bank holidays this increases with length of service.
