Title: Interim UK Finance Manager

Location: Daventry

Reporting To: CFO

The Interim UK Finance Manager will play a key role in supporting the UK Operations team by producing monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts. This position is responsible for providing essential financial information to the leadership team, ensuring consolidation of the Group's results. Additionally, the Finance Manager will lead the transformation and development of the UK Finance Team, overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Systems Development.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Directly oversee the UK Finance Team, ensuring clear definition of KPIs and day-to-day management.
  • Manage team performance, providing timely training, development opportunities, and on-the-job coaching.
  • Influence internal stakeholders through effective communication of our client's targets and business strategy.
  • Conduct team meetings and performance appraisals to support team development and business objectives.

Strategic and Operational Financial Management:

  • Execute monthly and year-end processes for the UK business in line with group policies.
  • Prepare and distribute accurate monthly UK profit and loss, balance sheet, and expenditure information, along with variance analysis.
  • Monitor stock rotation, ageing, and obsolescence, collaborating with relevant functions to achieve targets.
  • Establish and maintain an accurate UK accounting system.
  • Prepare financial reports, manage metrics and KPIs, and support business decision-making.
  • Manage cash flow, credit policies, supplier payments, and relationships with local institutions.
  • Assist in the preparation of the UK annual budget and forecasts, reporting variances.
  • Liaise with auditors, solicitors, HMRC, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Complete VAT returns and assist with local tax compliance.

We Are Seeking Someone Who:

  • Has proven success in a Senior Management Accountant or Finance Manager role.
  • Has extensive experience in producing monthly management accounts.
  • Is experienced in leading and driving change within a team.
  • Has Advanced Excel skills.
  • Has Working knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS principles, and payroll
  • Is able to hit the ground running, and adapt to a new working environment
